Each year, the Christmas celebration is a reason for personal discovery. I state this based on a reality known to each of us. Thus, through today’s article, I want to emphasize that on Christmas we all discover long-forgotten or untold qualities.
Christmas is a unique moment per year, in which we all must be better, more generous, more humble. But how many of us do our best to behave accordingly? I cannot estimate an exact answer, but what I can do is make sure we can all be better, more generous, more humble, but we need to want this. We can say we want to be that way, but we do not really want that.
So, do you notice the difference?
One is to want to be in a certain way, and another is to really want. You can make a specific distinction. Therefore, Christmas is the celebration of personal discovery. Throughout this time, we can discover how good, generous and humble we can be if we really want that. Goodness is not a quality that can be bought as a Christmas gift. No… Goodness is a quality that we can achieve through great but real efforts through small but sure steps. In fact, Christmas is not a period, not a season, but a state of mind in which we are given the opportunity to discover ourselves in the true sense of the word, just as we actually are.
The true spirit of Christmas means to cherish peace and goodwill, to offer full compassion. Personal discovery can be a long and exhausting process, but its effects can be seen in the long-term. Therefore, give the chance to this wonderful celebration, the Christmas celebration to shape your character, to help you to discover yourself exactly as you are. Believe me, you will be surprised by what you will discover.
We can all change ourselves, and if the Christmas celebration can be a reason of which to cling on, let’s not hesitate not even for a second.
